01

Map the commitments

Identify the handset arrangement, airtime, insurance and any trade-in. Write down the relevant end dates and what happens on early departure. A single order can contain more than one agreement.

An upgrade mechanism may depend on returning equipment and meeting condition criteria. It should not be read as proof that the current device has no outstanding obligation.

02

Before a return

Back up information, move authenticators and verify the replacement phone. Remove personal accounts using the manufacturer’s procedure. Keep a record of condition and dispatch.

Confirm the destination independently with the provider or seller. An unsolicited caller who knows an order number should not be allowed to redirect the return without verification.

03

After a change

Check acceptance of returned equipment as well as delivery. An inspection outcome may arrive later. Preserve communications until any balance is settled or explained.

This website does not supply finance or evaluate personal affordability. For individual debt or legal concerns, use appropriate qualified assistance rather than relying on a general mobile guide.

Put it into practice

  1. Record separate device and airtime obligations.
  2. Read the return standard and deadline.
  3. Retain acceptance and final-balance records.
